"Hero, an intriguing Siamese
cat, has a chance to tell his own story in The Three
Wives of Hero the Second, the prequel to Wellington's
Windows. The story moves from Albany, Georgia, to
Alexandria, Virginia, the Eastern Shore of Maryland,
and to Tennessee---with stops in between. As inWellington's
Windows, every story in this chapter book is true."

Wellington tells all
in Wellington’s Windows, a story of life, love,
and the pursuit of happiness, and—horrors—monsters!
Told in first dog by a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel,
the story gives us inside information on “a dog’s
life,” and it’s not half bad. Wellington
also introduces us to his furry companions and the little
people who share his life and to Mamie and Dan who feed
him.

TEXT OF A MARINE SALUTE:
Congratulations!
We’re proud of you,
A member of the team.
You’ve won the race,
Fought the fight,
And earned the highest esteem.
Now serve us well,
Protect us all,
And keep our honor clean.
You join the Corps
Forevermore
A United States Marine.

Southern Christmas is the retelling
of the nativity story with a uniquely Southern ending. It appeals
to both children and adults and has proven to be a popular Christmas
gift. It is wonderfully illustrated by Beverley Seeberger.

Wishes for Christmas is
a story about a teenage boy who seems to be unable to do
anything right. He is constantly
in trouble, and it looks as though his wishes for
Christmas won't be granted:
When his angelic younger brother gets in
trouble, he decides to step in to save him--with disastrous
results. Will he get his wishes for Christmas? Read it
to see!
Ms. Randall has learned from her readings
to school children that this book has appeal for ages 6-12.
The truth is, however, many adults seem to buy Wishes for
Christmas for themselves!
Wishes for Christmas is illustrated by a
very gifted 15-year-old, Zack McCarter. Zack is a poster
child for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and
a portion of the profits from the book will be donated
to that organization.
